Snow Runner

Snow Runner is a 3D off-road truck simulator you can play free in your browser. You haul cargo across frozen mountain trails where the road is half mud, half ice, and the shortest route is almost never the one your truck will survive. No download, no install — the full game runs right here on this page, on desktop and mobile.

The physics do the heavy lifting. Every truck has real weight: the trailer pushes you downhill, wheels spin out in deep snow, and the engine heat gauge climbs when you force a loaded rig up a grade in first gear. Learning to read the terrain — packed dirt grips, wet rock slides, fresh snow swallows — matters more than raw speed.

How to Play Snow Runner

Each level is a delivery quest. The campaign opens with Plane Crash: First Ride, a supply run through a river canyon, and moves on to military convoys, mountain passes and open free-roam maps. Green arrows mark the route; how you get there is your problem. Follow the road and you lose time on switchbacks — cut across and you risk tipping the trailer into a ravine. Finished cargo pays coins, and coins unlock heavier trucks in the shop, from a classic 6×6 army hauler to an eight-wheel armored carrier.

Controls

On desktop, drive with the arrow keys or WASD: up or W to accelerate, down or S to brake and reverse, left and right to steer, Space for the handbrake. On mobile, steer with the on-screen wheel and pedals. The H / D / R buttons on the right switch between high gear, drive and reverse — drop into H mode before deep snow, not after you are stuck in it. The camera button cycles views; the cockpit camera makes narrow bridges much easier to judge.

Tips for the First Levels

Keep momentum on climbs, but lift off before the crest — a loaded truck that launches over a ridge lands badly. Watch the heat gauge on long grades and let the engine cool before it maxes out. In river crossings, enter slow and steady: water kills your speed instantly and a spinning wheel digs you in deeper. And use the handbrake on hairpins; the trailer will happily overtake you on ice if you only use the foot brake.
