Ant Kingdom Rush

Ant Kingdom Rush is a game by Ouaz Games where you don’t control one ant, you control the whole colony. You drag left and right to move your swarm, you pass through the good gates to multiply your ants, and at the end of the level you attack the enemy nest. Big army wins, simple as that.

The game looks easy but every gate is a small trap for your brain. One side gives you x2, the other side takes ants from you, and you have about one second to choose while the swarm keeps running. Between the gates you find obstacles that kill the ants on the sides, sticky zones that slow you down, and enemy ambushes when you don’t expect them.

How to play

Drag with your finger on mobile, or hold the left mouse button and move on PC. That’s it. The colony follows you everywhere. Free ants join you automatically when you touch them, gates count when you cross them, and the final battle starts by itself when you reach the enemy colony.

The gates

Gates are where you win or lose the level. Some multiply your ants, some add a fixed number, and some remove ants. They are placed in a smart way, so the gate that looks the best is not always the best one. A x2 behind a narrow gap is worse than a small bonus you can take with your full swarm. In the late levels the gates come faster and faster, and that’s where the game gets hard.

Don’t lose your ants

Your ant count is your health bar. When you hit an obstacle you don’t die, you just lose the ants that touched it. So one mistake is fine, but three or four mistakes and you arrive at the final battle with almost nothing. Keep the swarm in the middle when the road gets narrow. Fun fact: real army ants also move in one big column like this.

The final battle

Every level ends with a fight against another colony. No secret here: the bigger swarm wins. All the ants you collected and all the gates you took right, that’s the number you bring to the fight. With the stars you win you can unlock stronger ant types, and they help a lot in the next runs.

Tips

Collect ants first, take multipliers after. A x3 on 12 ants gives you 36, but the same x3 on 80 ants gives you 240, so build your base first. Cross the gates with the center of your swarm, because if you pass on the edge, half of your ants miss the gate. And when two gates look the same, take the one with the cleaner road before it.

Controls

Drag with the mouse or your finger. That’s the full control scheme, everything else is automatic.
