2048 Number Merge

2048 Number Merge is a number puzzle from Ouaz Games that puts the classic merge idea inside three glass tubes. Numbered blocks stack up in the tubes, and you drag the top block of one tube onto another. When two equal numbers meet they join into the next one, so 1 and 1 make 2, 2 and 2 make 4, and the numbers keep doubling up to 2048 and past it.

How the tubes work

You can only move the block on top of a tube, and it has to land on a matching number to merge. Every move brings new blocks into play, so the tubes slowly fill up while you work. The run ends when all of them are full and there is nothing left to merge. The original 2048 slides tiles across a grid. Here the numbers are stacked, which changes how you plan each move.

Combos and levels

If you set the blocks up well, one drop can start several merges in a row. These chains are the fastest way to clear space and to fill the level bar at the top. Each full bar moves you up a level.

Unlocking the side tubes

2048 Number Merge starts you with three tubes, and two more sit locked at the sides. The first opens when you reach a 512 block and the second when you reach 2K. With five tubes there is a lot more room to move blocks around and set up chains.

Revive

When the tubes are full you get one revive per run. It clears the top of every tube so you can keep merging.

Controls

Drag and drop a block with the mouse or your finger. On a keyboard, move between the tubes with the arrow keys or A and D, press Space or Enter to pick up the top block, and press it again to drop it. Esc puts the block back where it was. 2048 Number Merge runs in the browser on PC and mobile, with nothing to download.
