Crafting Building

Crafting Building is a blocky building game from Ouaz Games. You walk into a 3D world made of cubes, dig out what you don’t need and place new blocks wherever you want. You can build a small hut, a whole street or a castle at your own pace.

Picking a world

The game opens on a world list with four tabs: All, Newest, Popular and My Worlds. The first one, simply called The World, is free and is the place to start. Other themed worlds can be unlocked with the coins you collect or by watching ads, and everything you build is saved in My Worlds so you can come back to it later.

Blocks, furniture and blueprints

Crafting Building has hundreds of blocks sorted into five groups: Basic, Organic, Custom, Furniture and Craftable. Furniture is there for the inside of your houses, and Craftable items are made from recipes. There are also blueprints of ready-made buildings, from towers and igloos to Aztec houses, that you can unlock and place in your world. The genre goes back to the sandbox games that put creative freedom ahead of goals.

Walking, flying and riding

You can explore on foot or switch to flying, which makes tall builds a lot easier. In the settings you can change the time of day between morning, midday, twilight and night. The world has animals you can ride, and pets and outfits you can unlock for your character.

Daily rewards and quests

Coming back each day pays out daily rewards, and free chests show up with extra items. Quests and achievements give you small goals when you want something to aim for between builds.

Controls

On a computer, move with W, A, S and D and look around by dragging the mouse or with the arrow keys. Press E to place a block, Q to dig and F to switch between walking and flying. Space jumps or flies up, and Shift or Left Ctrl takes you down. Enter presses the main button on the menus and Esc pauses the game. On a phone or tablet, use the joystick to move, drag to look, and tap the Add, Dig and Jump buttons. Crafting Building runs in the browser on PC and mobile, with nothing to download.
